Using a git-based site (such as GitLab) for collaboration is the de facto modern standard of IT. You should carefully read the documentation linked in the exercise, and you should not be afraid to try out the commands at your command line: Command Prompt (Windows), PowerShell (Windows), or Terminal (Mac/Linux/Unix).
